Beyond FarmGuardian officially presents its intelligent monitoring solution at SIPA 2025
The official launch of Beyond FarmGuardian was one of the standout moments of the 2025 International Animal Protein Symposium (SIPA). During the traditional technical breakfast, Jorge Mandujano, CEO of Beyond Technology, and Juan Carlos Rea, Director of Research & Development, introduced the platform to producers, specialists, and academics. Their goal: to transform how pigs are managed and supervised in commercial farms through artificial intelligence, computer vision, and advanced data analytics.
The presentation emphasized a central message: the swine sector faces complex challenges related to mortality, disease, feed waste, theft, and limited visibility of each animal’s performance. Beyond FarmGuardian emerges as a direct response to these issues, combining specialized cameras, proprietary algorithms, and on-site processing capabilities to deliver continuous and automated monitoring of each pig or pen, depending on the producer’s preference.
A platform designed to anticipate risks and improve decision-making on the farm
Mandujano explained that the technology can detect changes in body temperature, behavioral alterations, variations in feed consumption, as well as coughing, biting, sneezing, and other events that often go unnoticed during manual inspections. This early-alert capability enables timely intervention, reduces losses, and helps anticipate outbreaks before they compromise production. The system operates with precision and monitoring 24/7, without requiring invasive devices or sensors attached to the animal.
Rea went deeper into the technical operation of the platform, showing how the algorithm learns from each captured image to estimate weight, activity, and abnormal patterns. He also presented the dashboards that allow information to be visualized from the organizational level down to individual pen monitoring, as well as the upcoming integration of feed-control modules using load cells to show exactly how much feed enters each trough and when losses occur. He also highlighted the ability to customize rules, thresholds, and notifications so each farm can adapt FarmGuardian to its own processes.
During the Q&A session, attendees showed strong interest in interoperability with other platforms, historical data storage, the expansion toward farrowing and breeding, and the possibilities of integrating environmental factors such as gases and humidity. The team’s response was clear: Beyond FarmGuardian is designed as an open and constantly evolving technology, with new versions every six months and a vision to become the central decision-making tool on the farm.
An open ecosystem in constant technological evolution
The launch at SIPA 2025 marks the beginning of a new chapter for Beyond FarmGuardian and reinforces the global interest in tools that enhance efficiency, biosecurity, and profitability while maintaining a focus on animal welfare. The platform was created in Mexico with proprietary technology and is rapidly advancing toward international adoption thanks to collaboration with producers who have already tested it in the field.
